Give him a romantic foot massage

Give a romantic foot massage

When your man comes in from a hard days work, why not treat him to a nice foot massage. It's relaxing for him, good for your hands and something a bit different!

Romantic Foot Massage

One of the nice things about romance is that you don't have to do a specific thing to be romantic. Trying something different can be a rewarding experience and bring something new into your love life.
You may not have thought of feet as being something that could have romantic connotations. Let's face it, they can be pretty nasty sometimes after a hard days work. However, a foot massage is a very sensual experience and is very simple to do.

What you will need:

Cream - Foot cream is best (Boots the Chemist do some excellent foot lotions)
If you can't get/don't have foot cream, then use a fairly thick moisturising cream.

How to do a nice foot massage

1st, get your man to have a shower or bathe his feet in a basin of water. Once his feet are clean, have him sit on the couch and put his legs out in front of him. A foot stool is useful to rest his feet on - place it underneath the calf muscles.
Sit yourself on the floor with his feet in front of you.

Place a fair sized blob of cream onto your hand and rub this onto the base of his foot and around to the top. Aim to get his foot covered in cream - the sliding action of the cream will make the massage smooth and painless.

Now take your thumbs and place them next to each other in the middle of the base of his foot, with your hand over the top. Move your thumbs in circles, pressing gently into the base of the foot. Gradually move them up and down his foot - Watch out for certain areas, some people have sensitive spots on their feet. He'll tell you what feels good and what doesn't.

After you've done that for a little while, change to pressing your thumbs in and out of the base of the foot while moving them together up and down the length of the foot.
Then work on the top of the foot. Use a back massage style movement - let your thumbs work outwards from his leg out towards his toes, gently massaging the skin.

It's a nice idea to loosen the tension in the ankle area. You can gently rotate/counter rotate his foot to make everything work smoothly. Make sure he lets his foot hang loose for this though and does not work with or against your movements.
Be gentle!

If you enjoy doing this, or more importantly your partner enjoys receiving your foot massage, then why not consider getting a book on reflexology?
