Do you like the idea of a picnic outdoors but the weather is awful?
Why not have an indoor picnic and have a romantic afternoon in your own front room!

This tip works best if you don't have any children, or you can take your kids to a babysitter for the afternoon, as you need some personal time together without some of the normalities of family life.

If you plan to have a romantic picnic indoors, clear a space on your lounge floor and set out a picnic mat/rug/duvet to sit on.
Do all your picnic preperations exactly as you would if you were planning on taking a picnic outdoors.
Call your lover into the room and sit them down on the picnic mat. Tell them that you're having a picnic and to imagine that they are sitting in a field in the countryside.
Bring in the picnic hamper and enjoy your lunch together.
Use your imaginations to make your indoor picnic a totally different experience. It will be fun and romantic too!
Don't be embarrased about the fact your having a picnic indoors - if you both find it amusing then laugh about it, otherwise you could spoil the atmosphere.

If you're feeling extra romantic, push the boat out with some champagne and strawberries and relax in the cool calm breeze of your living room!
