Massage Pointers: Give the Best!"Don’t do it that way". If you've ever heard that phrase in the middle of giving what you thought was a great massage... you need some tips. Contrary to what most people believe there’s a right way and a wrong way. Granted there are classes to show you how to give the perfect massage, most people simply don’t have the time but that’s okay because it's all in the hands! PositionChoosing a position to receive a good back rub is just as important as choosing a good position to give one. Make sure that both of you are in comfortable position because if you're not, the massage probably wont be a good one. A nice flat but smooth service with a little padding is great, the floor is not a good spot though. A table or a countertop is actually the best option because when you don't have to lean over in a painful position to give the massage, you'll perform better plus you don’t have to worry about shifting your weight precariously. Hand MovementsSo many people forget it's called a massage... not a `squeeze` and squeezing can be painful. The idea is to start out easy until you get awe approving, `Oh that feels great` and that's when you know you have the right balance. It's best to begin at the neck, working your way down to the shoulders then along the biceps. Massage the biceps with the tips of the fingers going back to the shoulders and then down either side of the spine gently, firmly but gradual. Work your way down to the base of the back where the spine meets with the buttocks, this is an area full of nerves and an excellent area to concentrate on for a while. Follow the same order on the way back up except use short, upward strokes massaging until your reach the arms again. Extra TipsEveryone loves a great back massage but if really want to win the gold medal, give your girl or guy an all over massage. Using the same ideals, gently massage using your fingertips and the flat part of your palm behind the knees, massage the calves, the inner thighs and don't forget the feet. Massage oils can be great but look for quality oils that the skin doesn't absorb so quickly. Make sure that you always start out with a minimal amount of pressure and then work your way up to suit your partners comfort zone, never squeeze. It's a good idea if you use oils to take off your shirt and it's also a good idea to not only use your hands as a good massage tool but also your body as well. You may find that you get more requests for massages so have fun and teach each other because the rewards are priceless! Related items from Amazon.co.uk
