Romantic anniversary ideas and tipsDo you have a special anniversary coming up soon? Perhaps a wedding anniversary or the anniversary of the day you met. We have some romantic anniversary ideas that you can use to express your love to your partner! Romantic ideas for your anniversaryCheap IdeasRomantic Classified AdMost local and national papers have a section where they announce marriages, births and personal messages. Get a message placed in the classifieds along with a picture of your partner and a short romantic note. Make sure they see the paper! Home Made Road SignFind out which way your partner goes to work and make a sign to put in a visible place on their route. You can make a sign out of a white sheet and paint your message on it. Be artistic and colourful! Try and hang the sign where it will be seen - a roundabout is always a good choice, or off a bridge. Be careful not to put yourself at risk, and don't obscure any road signs or trespass on private property! Special photo framePurchase a double photo frame, the type that holds a 5x7 photo on either side of a hinge. Place a photo of yourself or the both of you in the right hand window. In the left hand window place a personal love poem, some lines of your partners favourite song, a drawing or a special collage of meaningful items in the left hand window. Treasure huntCreate a treasure hunt around the house. Hide a special gift like a ring or a bottle of champagne somewhere that it won't be stumbled upon. Then place a series of clues around the house, each one leading onto the next one, until you get to the final gift. Make the cards yourself and decorate them with rose petals or drawings. You could also add challenges or forfeits to the cards to spice up the search! Places tripBlindfold your partner and take them for a drive to the places that are special to you. Drive them to the place where you first met, the place where you became a couple, the place where you got engaged, or anywhere else that is special to you. Explain to them why each place is special to you, and then arrange your trip to end at your favourite romantic restaurant for a nice meal together. Mystery CDThis is a good tip for if you can't be with your partner on your anniversary date. Create a CD-ROM on your computer of music that is special to your partner. Using a microphone on your computer, record a personal message to your partner about how much you love them and what they mean to you. Insert the audio track of your voice in between the musical tracks of the CD and post it/give it to your partner. They won't be expecting to hear you on the CD and should be bowled over! Moderately Priced IdeasFlower MarketTake a trip to your nearest flower market or auction and buy a large amount of flowers. Rather than presenting your lover with a bouquet, spread a hundred or so flowers on the bed, or place them in vases all around the house with romantic notes attached. By buying at the flower market you can purchase a wholesale amount of flowers at a much more reasonable rate than at a florist. If you're in the UK, check out the New Covent Garden flower market: http://www.cgma.gov.uk/index.htm Expensive IdeasThe sky's the limitIf you feel like doing something a bit special and out of the ordinary then why not get your romantic message of love towed behind a plane? You could arrange for the plane to fly over your partners office (make sure you get them to go outside!) or you could arrange to be together in a special place when the plane flies past. The shock factor of seeing a personal message in the sky just for them will make it all worthwhile. You can achieve this for around £300 (an hours flying with your message) from various UK companies. They fly the plane around with 5ft or 7ft lettering on the banner, which is easily visible from the ground. 2 companies that I've found are: Hopefully the tips above will give you some help with planning your romantic anniversary.
